Lizzy Goodrich: Owner & Seamstress

After studying Fine Art, Art History and Education at Hofstra University I decided to move down south. Upon arriving to Charleston, SC in 2013 I was gifted my first sewing machine and with the help of YouTube and books I taught myself how to sew. After working at an art museum, various retail companies and art galleries for many years I decided to switch careers and work with my hands! I sewed professionally for a local business here in Charleston for 2 years after which I launched Sew Lizzy in January 2020. I absolutely love working with other creative small businesses: artists, restaurateurs, interior designers and graphic designers. With my background in fine arts and retail as well as growing up with an interior designer mother, I found sewing to be the perfect fit for my skillset. 

I look forward to working with more homeowners and creative individuals to make their  sewing projects a reality!
